Madrone Bowl

Not all Madrone is burl...some times you find what at first appears to be ordinary straight-grained wood, but upon closer inspection you might find subtle figuring.  Bonus!!! And this bowl is one of those finds: nice color and grain and a hint of fiddle-back figure!! Sweet.  Madrone sometimes also develops a texture as it goes through the drying process and this bowl has this attribute as well.  But wait, there is more: this bow came with some stress fractures which we cleverly filled with our magic mix: epoxy and ground Mexican coffee.
